Project Delivery

Below are the technical delivery standards for post-production sound.

Clear, well-organized files help ensure smooth, accurate mix and review process. If your project deviates from any of these specs or you have any questions, feel free to reach out.

Audio (AAF/OMF)

• Format: AAF or OMF 2.0 (embedded preferred – audio files included inside the export)

• If Linking Media: Please ensure all audio files are included, clearly labeled, and delivered in organized folders

• Audio File Type: broadcast wave (.wav)

• Bit Depth: 24-bit (or native 16-bit)

• Handles: 5 seconds preferred

• Start Time: 01:00:00:00 preferred. If different start time is required, please note it at delivery. A 2-Pop at 00:59:58:00 is helpful but not required.

• Large Sessions: If the AAF/OMF exceeds 2GB, please split the delivery into acts, reels, or clearly defined sections

• Reference Files: MP3 should be provided for reference only

Picture Reference

• Codecs: ProRes (Proxy), DNxHD, or H.264

• Resolution:

  • Preferred: 1920x1080

  • Minium: 1280x720

  • Accepted: 720x480

• Frame Rate: Must match timeline

• Burnt-in Timecode: preferred as it helps ensure sync
